Take a journey through nature’s spectacular in this unique, lovingly converted showman’s home.

Once the family home to a circus ringmaster, this bohemian touring apartment has been lovingly renovated by Arcadia’s creative team. The spacious yet cosy Showman’s opens onto a private terrace with breathtaking views over a woodland canopy, Chew Valley Lake’s rolling hills and an endless changing sky.

The space

Expanding to three times the width of a normal truck with a unique design for light and space including glass windows lining the length of the main room, the truck is family friendly with a king bedroom, a smaller room with another king, a double sofa bed and additional camping space outside in a large private garden. There is a full family kitchen, built in sound system, central heating, a toilet and a hot shower. Enjoy a drink with friends and family around the dining table, open up the bifold doors and sprawl out on the sun deck or venture down to the fire pit area below where there is a BBQ, picnic bench and an open fire.

With acres of surrounding greenery to explore and woods to walk through, you can live carefree and connected to the land, listening to birds chirping and watching the wildlife with cool drinks tinkling in the sunshine. Take time out with your friends and family to enjoy summer in a unique magical location.

Guest access

Prior to arrival guests will be sent directions as well as codes and instructions to access the property. Check in is from 4pm, please check out by 11am.

Neighbourhood overview

You will be hidden away in the countryside but there are plenty of amenities in nearby Chew Magna, Bristol and Bath should you require them. We will provide you with a full list of restaurants, shops etc.

Public transport

The closest airport is Bristol Airport, only 5 miles away. The closest main train station is Bristol Temple Meads, 8 miles away. Uber operates in and around Bristol, and we can provide you with detailed information about local taxi firms.

Additional notes

There is a host that lives on site, and although you have complete privacy there is also security and a very friendly face to help with any issues during your stay or collecting bits and bobs from the local shop.

Please note you will need to be able to climb steps to access the entrance to this home, and also to access the smaller bedroom. A full manual with instructions regarding the home will be available on your arrival.

The home is family friendly but care will need to be taken if small children are staying as there is a high balcony and steps. Bedding is provided but please bring your own towels.

Pets are allowed with prior permission for an additional clean
