The lakeside Land Yacht - all-terrain upscale living.

The Land Yacht is a heavyweight beast from Arcadia’s touring stable – a one of a kind all-terrain home. Weighing in at 10 tonnes, its ‘cabin’ is a refitted luxury Airstream, showcasing an eclectic mix of retro style, rugged comfort and signature Arcadia workmanship… all sculpted onto the back of a vintage Mercedes truck.

THE SPACE

The Land Yacht is ideally set up for 2 adults, with a second cab bedroom for 2 kids available from May to October (the cab bedroom is too cold outside of this time so we close it). The sofa seats 3 and is the only seating. When the cab bedroom is closed November to April the sofa can be used as a second bed for 1-2 people.  We do not recommend staying in The Land Yacht with toddlers in the summer as the decking is raised with open railings. Further camping facilities are also available should your group be larger in the summer.

The Land Yacht comes with a fully fitted kitchen, salon, hot shower and toilet as well as a hand built terrace outside where you can kick back with family and friends and soak up the sunshine. The bedroom in the cab is big enough for adults but also great for kids - complete with buttons and window winders! The space is sumptuous and completely private, with breathtaking views across the lake to the Mendips. At night you can watch the stars whilst sitting by the fire pit, moment of magic to share with friends and family.

GUEST ACCESS

Prior to arrival guests will be sent directions as well as codes and instructions to access the property. Check in is from 4pm, please check out by 11am.

NEIGHBOURHOOD OVERVIEW

You will be hidden away in the countryside but there are plenty of amenities nearby should you require them. We will provide you with a full list of restaurants, shops etc.

GETTING THERE

The closest airport is Bristol Airport, only 5 miles away. The closest main train station is Bristol Temple Meads, 8 miles away. Uber operates in and around Bristol, and we can provide you with detailed information about local taxi firms.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

There is a host that lives on site, and although you have complete privacy there is also security and a very friendly face to help with any issues during your stay or collecting bits and bobs from the local shop.

Please note you will need to be able to climb steps to access the entrance to this home. A full manual with instructions regarding the home will be available on your arrival.

The home is family friendly but care will need to be taken if small children are staying as there is no handrail enclosing the decking area outside. Bedding is provided for the beds.

Towels are provided.

One well behaved dog is welcome per stay for an additional fee payable under Add Ons. They must never be left unsupervised.
